It was a pleasure serving the under-represented Inuit community and our loyal customers over so many years.

We are sad to say that we are no longer accepting work of any type.
As such, we are no longer accepting Consignments, Appraisals or Restorations.

The website is being kept up for historical purposes and to promote the under-represented art form that is Inuit Art.

You can be assured that all merchandise is in excellent condition unless otherwise noted.

A layaway plan is offered to accommodate your budget. 30% down will secure your purchase and monthly payments arranged suitable to both buyer and seller.

We accept sculpture, prints, masks, jewelry and related items for resale taking 50% of the sale price set by Images of the North based on current values. Pieces must be in excellent condition dependent upon age. We regret that large, heavy sculptures are not of interest. Material consigned must remain a minimum of 6 months giving ample time to find a buyer. Consignors are responsible for shipping costs of any unsold material returned.

We offer appraisals using experienced services for collections both large and small. Arrangements can be made to visit onsite or may be appraised through photographs. Detailed information including invoices, biographies, igloo tags etc. are helpful but not always necessary.

Appraisals can generally take two to three months to complete depending on demand and size of the collection being appraised.

General business hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 11am - 5:30pm. Appointments may be arranged on Sundays and Mondays providing notice is received 2 weeks in advance either by phone or email request. There will be no pressure to purchase when visiting by appointment.

Most sculpture require little, if any care other than a light dusting with a soft cloth. No harsh or abrasive materials should be applied to any sculpture. When displaying your purchase do consider the suitability of the location making sure it is safely situated to avoid being knocked over accidentally. Stone sculptures are fragile and can easily break if not handled with care.

When placing prints on display avoid direct sunlight and moisture. Under no circumstances should prints be displayed in bathrooms where moisture will harm the delicate papers used in Inuit printmaking. When framing, proper acid free conservation materials are required to protect your purchase. Choose an experienced framer for your valuable works on paper.

UPS, FedEx and USPS are used with all shipments insured for full value. Any damage or loss will be reviewed and handled quickly. Reimbursement to the purchaser will be issued as quickly as possible usually within a week. We are not responsible for any damage not resulting from shipping.
